All school Assembly
On 3 September 2018, a ceremonial event dedicated to the beginning of a new school year took place in Linguistic school & British Lyceum. Accompanied by the pupils of the 11th grade, Year 1 pupils came to the foreground. School Principal Svetlana Betenina and BL Academic Director Damien Butters addressed the school with the welcome speech.
Year 1 pupils recited sentimental poems and also persuaded fairytale characters Mr Know-Nothing and Pinocchio, who were invited to the event, that learning is paramount. Then they were greeted by 11th grade pupils, who gave them presents and school commemorative medals and also addressed the school with the words of gratitude.
Then the School Tree of Knowledge was decorated by Keys to Knowledge, Smiley Faces, Stars, Hearts and other symbols of success in learning. Finally, the school yard was filled with the heartwarming sounds of the First school bell. According to the school tradition, Year1 pupils sent toy air-balloons to the blue Moscow sky.
Mr Know-Nothing and Pinocchio accompanied Year 1 pupils to their first class. After that, all other pupils went to their tutorial classes.
