Sixth International Dostoevsky Contest, 18th of November 2016
The sixth international Dostoevsky contest, dedicated to the 195th anniversary of the great writer’s birth, was staged with the involvement and support of the State Museum of Dostoevsky, the Dostoevsky fund, the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute, Moscow Department of Education, the State Methodology Centre, the Moscow State Pedagogical University and the Moscow State Library №8.
The overarching theme of the 2016 contest is the World of Dostoevsky.
The ultimate goal of staging the contest is seen as promoting moral and spiritual values, promoting the fêting of
Russian cultural and historical legacy and molding young people’s ideas about classical literature.
Pupils’ creative writing and miscellaneous other projects were nominated in the following categories:
- Project works;
- Literary works (poems, essays, short stories);
- Art;
- Multimedia projects.
Our pupils participated in the poetry contest, which comprised a number of themes, out of which they chose 'Global problems of the modern world'.
It was a great pleasure to see our pupils' names included in the list prize winners.
