Promotion of pedagogical excellence
One of the most crucial means of promoting pedagogical excellence, something that integrates our school as an institution, is methodological research. The role of methodological research has been steadily gaining importance due to the continuous modernisation of education and raising standards for teachers.
A theoretorical seminar aimed at primary school teachers entitled "Active methods of teaching primary school pupils" was held during the Autumn holidays.
Belkina L.P. shared her experience in that area, shedding light on the most efficient methods: implementing various forms of interactive teaching or its elements ("the projects method","brainstorming","debates","interviewing different characters"), group and individual organisation of activity taking place in the classroom (working in pairs, working in set groups, working in variable group and working independently).
Primary school teachers shared their very own ways of implementing these methods with their colleagues.
The formation of basic skills in pupils, the perfection of teaching methods and the improvement of the quality of teaching comprise what every teacher should strive for. And this is exactly for that reason that it is necessary for every teacher to carry on learning and sharing his or her teaching experience with his or her colleagues within the framework of projects similar to the one outlined.
