11th Annual Interregional Conference “Language & the World” held at our school

11^th Annual Interregional School Conference “Language & the World” took place at the Linguistics School on the 15^th of April, 2016. This year the conference has been included in the UNESCO Association of Schools’ 2015-2016 academic year event plan and was  dedicated to the dialogue between world civilisations and the cultures of indigenous peoples. The applications had been sent by 54 participants from 14 schools in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Dzerzhinsk, Kazan and Tolyatti. Students presented high-level scientific research and projects, therefore choosing winners and awardees was a complicated issue for both cultural and linguistic sections’ of the jury.

The winner of the creative works contest (cultural section) was  Diana Azaryan, 11^th form student, School №1223 “Linguistic Centre”; second-place awardee was  Daria Zakharova, 9^th form student, Gymnasium №1414; and the 3^rd place award went to the duet of Eldar Naduev and Georgy Shakkum, 10^th form students, School №1234.

Our guest Zaria Yamaleeva, 11^th form student, School №80 of Kazan, became the winner of projects and research contest (linguistic section); Sofia Orlova, 11^th form student of our Linguistics School, was  the second-place awardee; Violetta Aleshanova, Elizaveta Zheludeva and Leonid Ryazanov, 8^th form students, School №1223 “Linguistic Centre”, took the 3^rd place. All the participants were awarded  certificates  of participation. The winners and the awardees were presented with diplomas of the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd degree as well as with keepsakes and valuable gifts. Elizaveta Arshakuni (11^th form, Linguistics School) for the input in intermediality concept research; Kamardinova Nosa (9^th form, Linguistics School) for  the  relevance of her research; Daria Lubayeva (10^th form, Linguistics School) for her  flawless English; Karina Burba, Ivan Revisorov and Alexander Nutalapati (9^th form, Gymnasium №1506) for an original presentation of the material were awarded with 4 recognition gifts by the jury’s decision. The teachers - research supervisors, who had helped the winners and awardees of the contest to conduct their research and prepare the presentations , were presented with  organizing committee certificates. We congratulate the participants, awardees and winners of that brilliant intellectual forum and expect you to join the 12^th Annual Interregional School Conference “Language & the World” in  April, 2017 with some new research!
