Chinese New Year in primary school
Primary school pupils attended an insightful class dedicated to the celebration of Chinese New Year, developed and presented by a teacher of Chinese, Chibisova Anastasia Vitalyevna. The children discovered that in China the holiday is also known as the Spring Festival and is symbolised by the colour red, the colour of fire that, according to a legend, rescued the Chinese from being destroyed by a mythical beast called the Nian. The pupils all learned how to pronounce the character signifying happiness and made an attempt at drawing it on cookies using hard sauce. Now they all know with what it is appropriate to present people in China.
