Russian language marathon
On 11th February the School once again held its annual Russian language marathon for 10th-11th form pupils. The teams were to relay along a route comprising 6 stages and at each stage to do a series of complex tasks connected with aspects of linguistics.
The winning team at the “Scholar” stage was team “Jaybirds” (10th form, group A), which, in a draw with 11A team under the monicker “Philological maidens”, was also the best team at the “One for all” stage. 11B team, “Lyceum pupils” distinguished themselves at the “Analytic” and “Syntax” stages. Indeed, they, along with 10B (“Bees”), were the best editors. It was impossible to guess who was going to win. The teams finished up with the following result: 1st place – “Jaybirds” (10th form, group A), 2nd place – “Lyceum pupils” (11B form) and 3rd place – “Philological maidens”. Top of the individual round were: Elizaveta Boldiyreva (10th form), Roman Slivko (11A form) and Shon Nguen (11A form). Russian language and literature Week continues …
