Linguistics School pupils given go ahead for GIA exams at first attempt!
3rd December, 2014: Like all Russian 11th form pupils our pupils wrote their final essays, the result of which determines entry to the Schol Leaving Certificate exams for 2015 leavers. Linguistics School pupils chose to write on the themes of: “What makes the creative works of M.U. Lermontov interesting for contemporary readers?”, “He who says that war is not frightening, does not know about war”, “Which events and impressions of life help a person mature?”, “What is more important: to love or be loved?”. All 23 pupils (100%) earned entry to GIA exams at their first attempt! Special gratitude is extended to teachers and Deputy Heads for their impeccable preparation and conduct of the final essay. But that is not all, scanned copies of the essays will be available on the state services portal and any HEE will have the opportunity to peruse the work when considering an applicant; essay results may be a deciding factor in accepting potential candidates.
