Linguistics School – a guest of Princess Anne

Her Royal Highness Princess Anne of Great Britain and her husband vice-admiral Sir Tim Laurence gave a reception for leading education and science specialists in Russia. The reception was organized by the British Embassy in Moscow and the British Council and took place at the Ambassador’s residence on 11^th February.

In the residency’s red hall gathered representatives of leading Russian and British universities, publishers and educational organisations like Cambridge Language Assessment Centre, Cambridge University Press, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations and Moscow State University of Printing Arts. Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages’ Linguistics School staff were among those present at the reception. As noted by Linguistics School general director and one of the founders of RosVuz, Amet Aleksandrovich Volodarsky, “one cannot but admire the sincere interest of members of the Royal Family in Russia’s modern education issues.” Moreover, Princess Anne paid attention to each of the guests including those from our School and she showed an interest in our Centre of International Youth Public Diplomacy which aims at studying the history and development of international diplomatic relations. Her Royal Highness Princess Anne underscored the uniqueness of a project that allows us to put into action the idea of bringing peoples and cultures closer. A.A. Volodarsky also recounted developments in RosVuz – an international education analytical information project which brings together education establishments from various countries in one integrated system.
