Director of British Programmes, Daryl McCreery, talked about overseas experience in conducting anti-terrorist operations including how best to conduct oneself in the event of being taken hostage and during a sting operation, “In a case like that you should know that you are not alone! Remember that there are experienced already on their way to help you. Do not try to run away or to escape alone or else the terrorists are likely to react aggressively. Try to stay calm and wait for your release.”
Maria Makhotina, Deputy Director for Activities, and pupil Anzhelika Vilkova answered childish questions to adult issues, for example, how to get out from fallen debris or defend yourself against a gas attack. A film on how to prevent a terrorist attack, how to spot a terrorist and how to behave in suspicious situations was shown …
Throughout the day you could watch video clips on the Beslan tragedy made by the police. A minute’s silence was observed in honour of those who have died in terrorist attacks. Your memory lives on!
In events such as these one is not alone in one’s grief as the entire country and the whole world is mourning.
On this day the whole School took a stance against terrorism! Forpeace! Forchildhood!
